I am leading supramolecular chemistry group and our research interests are synthesis and characterization of asymmetric container and host molecules, their formation, structure, chiroptical and supramolecular properties as well as their applications in chiral sensing.
Since 2018 a tenure professor at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech, associate level) and since 2011 started my own research group. Graduated from TalTech and obtained PhD in 2005 under supervision of Prof. Margus Lopp and Prof Tõnis Kanger. During my PhD I worked in the group of Prof. A. Alexakis at the University of Geneva and after graduation spent one academic year as a Fulbright visiting scientist with Prof. S. E. Denmark at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Since starting my independent group 6 PhD students have graduated and 10 are currently under my supervision. Beside the chemistry my husband and children bring me great joy.
